Identify the following as an acidic, basic or neutral salt: CH₃NH₃Cl.

    1. Why duh? Does that mean that you are not sure? NH4CN is a basic salt because the Kb of CN^– is much larger than the Ka of NH₄+

  3. ammonium ion and acetate ion both have the same K value, thus the ionization will be the same and the salt is a neutral salt.
